The University of Alaska Board of Regents will gather for their December meeting at the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus next week.

The two-day meeting will be Thursday and Friday, Dec. 6-7, in Room 109 of the Butrovich building at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Public testimony is scheduled for 10 a.m. on both Thursday and Friday.

The board agenda contains several action items including approval of an associate of applied science in law enforcement at the University of Alaska Southeast and approval of a bachelor of science in health sciences at the University of Alaska Anchorage (91ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵA). The board will also hear a presentation on research at the University of Alaska Fairbanks (91ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵF).

Board members will hear reports on eLearning, human resources, federal and state relations, 91ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ athletics and the Alaska Commission on Post Secondary Education.

The agenda has a variety of items for the board to consider, including a resolution officially recognizing the 91ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵA Alumni Association, approval of the Alaska Center for Unmanned Aircraft Systems Integration - Research, Development, Test and Evaluation at 91ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵF and approval of the Nanook Innovation Corporation Board of Directors.

The board has a number of facilities project approvals before it, including f ormal project approvals for the 91ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵA library old core mechanical upgrades, the 91ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵA energy modules 1 & 2 mechanical renewal and schematic design approval for the 91ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵA Allied Health Sciences Building renovation phase 2. A project change request for the 91ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵA Health Sciences Building will also be reviewed.

Additional project approvals include: approvals for the 91ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵF antenna installation Alaska Satellite Facility AS311, the 91ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵF West Ridge deferred maintenance phase 2, approval of the 91ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵA Campus Master Plan amendment for the engineering parking garage and schematic design approval for the 91ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵA Engineering and Industry Project.
