Our Future Ancestors
A statewide storytelling and research partnership reimagining K-12 education for Alaska Native youth, led by Cook Inlet Tribal Council and Experimental under a grant from the Alaska Department of Education & Early Development. Communities across Alaska are gathering ideas, stories, and dreams to inspire new models of education grounded in Indigenous knowledge and language.
ANCSA Regional Association Training
The ANCSA Regional Association offers free introductory trainings on the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, Alaska Native corporations, and the broader network of Alaska Native entities, including the annual "ANCSA: Why It Matters" training and fact sheets on the twelve regions.
FAFSA Training & Completion Support
The Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education (ACPE) offers free FAFSA trainings for educators and mentors, plus completion support for students and families--including "Master the FAFSA" sessions, FAFSA Wednesdays drop-in help on Zoom, and the Alaska FAFSA Completion Initiative in partnership with school districts and Alaska Native organizations.
Alaska Performance Scholarship (APS)
The Alaska Performance Scholarship rewards Alaska high school students for taking a rigorous curriculum and helps fund their postsecondary education in state. Start with the overview from ACPE, then use the guides below.
